We were contacted by SMD and they visited us promptly and quoted for the work required. Not only were we satisfied with the finished product and their pricing was competitive we continued to use SMD for a variety of other jobs - plastering, plumbing, decorating and general building work + they helped us out with a few minor emergencies. Overall we are satisfied with the work done, it was good value for money and would recommend them to anyone else in need of similar work.

David has done a splendid job and managed difficulties in a cheerful and positive way. He charged a reasonable price and stuck to it. Simon contacted me within a couple of hours came to view the job same day. On arrival and within 50 mins had taken the old bathroom suite out and straight away got down to refitting (By the way awkward room size and plumb layout.For a three day job he managed this in ONE AND A HALF days and helped out sorting a few other issues as well!!. I totally and highly recommend to anybody who wants a quality trade who is 100% focused on the job and has skills second to none I have ever used.

I would like to thank Shaun once again. I think I was very lucky to find him. He did a great job that lasted for a month and involved complete refurbishment of two bathrooms including installation of underfloor heating with a thermostat, Bisazza mosaics and thick Apavisa tiles, Matki shower cabin, Grohe rain showers with mixers, Duravit and Ideal Standard kits and mirror cabinets. Very professional, quick, diligent and responsible – very nice guy too! 10 out of 10 – highly recommend!. Oksana

I cannot rate Matthew Fear highly enough. He gave me a very competitive quote, suggested ideas - advised me to think to the future, i.e. about what I would want to do to the house in future. This proved particularly valuable. He did a first class job re-wiring my 300 year old cottage completely. Matthew liaised with other workmen including restoration experts and plasterers. As I work, I gave Matthew a key to the cottage and found him entirely trustworthy. Highly recommend him.

Firstly this job was never completed and dragged on for a few months. I waited in for them twice to turn up but they went on other jobs and never informed me. The standard of the work is ok but nothing amazing. I was promised they would return the overpayment I made (bad mistake!) and have received nothing.
