Joinery & Carpentry job 40 miles from Northamptonshire in Cambridge
1. Remove existing glazed door adj to lounge and supply and fit half hour fire check door with appropriate handle, no lock. Please fit with 3 steel but hinges.
2. Four internal bedrooms (two ground floor, two first floor):
- replace existing door locks with thumb turn or similar lock that allows keyless exit from room, key will still be required to enter room.
- doors to be hung on 3 steel but hinges.
- doors to have intumescent strip and smoke seal fitted, alternatively these could be fitted on the corresponding sections of the door frame. (In addition the new door will also need this). The gap between the door and frame should be a consistent 3mm along the head and down both sides. Any gaps behind the door frame must be filled using an appropriate fire resistant product.
- doors to have overhead self closure mechanism fitted. (In addition the new door will also need this).
3. Fix fire blanket onto wall, I will supply materials.
Work done to a good standard and fairly priced. Dexter is a genuinely nice guy who cares about his workmanship. Would definitely recommend.
