Gas cooker is not getting any gas

my gas cooker started burning a bit odd yesterday - if I turned one up the other one went really low. then it stopped working completely. I checked the gas metre and there is plenty of gas left ( boiler is working). I can't smell any gas so it shouldn't be a leak.
looking for someone to look at it as soon as possible.
