Repair wooden panel on front door

Front door has a wooden panel that fell out and needs repairing. The panel was put in by previous owners to allow a cat flap to be fitted, The original door had wooden upright pieces with glass in between. I would be happy for either the panel to be repaired or for it to be restored to it's oringinal state. Photos are available.
