Fixing stairs and some repointing

I've had someone look at a few jobs that need doing in my house (see below):
Wyroc flooring at the top of the staircase is not supported and could at any time collapse with any excess weight on.
Quotation
To take up carpet at top of staircase. To remove area of defective flooring . To build in extra noggins as required to give the flooring adequate support. To relay carpet on completion.
To repoint gable end eaves pointing where frost has affected the pointing which has fallen out. To refix brick at kitchen window.
