The under-stairs electrical consumer unit of our 4-bed house in West Norwood needs inspecting for an ECIR / EICR. It has been 10 years since the house was rewired with that unit. Would be good to get this done ASAP please.

Hi, The job is to replace 3 existing wall lights in living room with new ones. Also, in the hall there is an old-fashioned socket and I need to get this replaced with a modern socket/plugpoint.

Fitting a wall mounted socket from an existing fuseable spur

To remove the existing cable from a washing machine fuseable spur and replace with and a single wall mounted socket. Ensuring the surface mounted socket do not foul the replacement washing machine. At 32 b old Devonshire road Balham.

Repair garage lighting

Lights in garage do not work, light switch flickers then dies out, which makes me think its not the fuse.

Replace ceiling light holder

Replace lower part of ceiling light holder. We are landlords and we will need invoice for work done. I can send a photo of the faulty light holder. Parking is free on weekends and after 4.30pm week days. Otherwise £2.50 per hour.

New electric shower and add a socket to a room

I do not currently have a shower so I need it wired and installed. I also need a socket wired into my living room, I have a tv system but the location I want it in needs a socket.

Switching hardwired fridge

I'm getting a new fridge, and I need my old hardwired fridge removed and the new one wired in its place. Just a short job, but one I can't do! It's an under counter model, nothing huge, I will ensure counter access is clear. Parking can be an issue as the council don't give visitor permits; there are limited p&d spaces nearby or otherwise no restrictions are in place on Sundays. I'll pay p&d charges if necessary.

Kitchen lights trips fuse

In the lounge/kitchen there seems to be a problem with the lights as when they are turned on it fuses the electricity in the house.

New BuytoLet - Electrical test / Cert + Bathroom Extractor

3 bed terraced house in Sunray estate Tolworth needs electrical test and certificate and an extractor fan (with humidistat, timer) in bathroom. I can supply the fan + ducting. House has single skin brick wall with tiles hung outside, not sure if its practical to fit fan on the wall, ceiling fitted with ducting to eves vent may be possible or through roof ? Also Gas safety cert for boiler and cooker to be listed soon.

Part P qualified rewiring immersion heater

Looking for a Part P qualified electrician to do some wiring work for our immersion heater. The hot water tank has two x 3kw immersion heaters. Both the immersion heaters currently work by being individually plugged into the electrical socket which is on a separate circuit that is dedicated to the immersion heater. The socket was added to allow choice of the two immersion heaters. There is currently no timer switch. The electric supply to the flat is economy 7. The job is: 1. Replace the current electrical socket with a double pole switch 2. From this double pole switch install a digital immersion heater 24 hour timer (simple daily timer without the complex 7 day facility). Hardwire one of the immersion heaters to this timer. We would like the second immersion heater available as back up when the first heater burns out but we are uncertain how this could be wired into the system. We would like to hear your proposal for this with associated cost. Ideally a choice of one or the other heater can be chosen as we do not want both heaters to be on at the same time as this will blow the system. If this is not possible, the second immersion heater will simply remain unconnected and act as a spare however we would prefer the backup option. Please allow for providing: A double pole switch (of suitable amp). A simple digital 24 hour immersion heater timer. Anything else necessary (please specify). We are landlords so we will need an invoice for the work.
