Unprofessional. Jason responded to post, we spoke about job & he confirmed he wanted to do it. As this was an outdoor job I sourced & put up a gazebo for cover from sun and/or rain. He arrived as planned but an hour in he left!? He hadn’t finished, didn’t tidy up & ,importantly, didn’t even speak to me - he just left!

Ray installed a canopy above a large french door. It was a challenging job in so much as the installation was more than 3 metres high, the canopy was flimsy and the old brickwork quite soft. Ray did an excellent job taking time to achieve a good finish and replacing the fixing bolts with some better fixings more appropriate to the installation. I commend him without hesitation.

I think the frame will also need replacing as wood looks rotten. This may require a wood board installed on top of the plasterboard so it can be secured to the uprights, since there is a limited area where the TV will go which may not align with the uprights

I have several drilling jobs around the house, which are slightly beyond my own DIY skill to accomplish. 1) Drill 4 holes in HARD bathroom tiles in order to mount a cabinet. 2) Drill 4 holes in HARD batrhroom tiles in order to mount a towel rail. 3) Drill 6 holes in living room wall in order to mount a TV wall bracket. 4) Drill 2 holes in front door in order to mount a doorbell (this one should be easy, but I may as well utilise the professional handyman when he's here!) I tried myself to drill into the bathroom tiles, but despite having bought carbide-tipped bits, they just were not going through. I therefore decided to enlist professional help. Anyone who's interested - please would you give me your quote in the first contact - instead of simply saying "Hi, I can do this job, contact me for the price". Thank you.
