Repair and reinforce existing wooden bookshelves

1) New wooden bookshelves are bowing and detaching from the strut underneath which is then attached to the wall. The shelves need to be strong enough to hold wine racks with wine, academic books and especially art exhibition catalogues - heavy books. There are 8 short shelves, one of which has already broken with the weight of the art books; and 2 long shelves (2.5m). All need reinforcing. 2) Remove 2 shelves of approx 55cm long from the wall; reduce the length by approx 3-4cm (to be confirmed); reattach to the wall with reinforcements. 3) Make and paint a 3rd shelf approx 114cm (L) x 25 - 30 cm (W); attach to wall with reinforcements. Please confirm earliest dates you could do this work, especially Part 1.

Replace 2 doors and roofing at the side of the house.

Carpentry and Handyman work on garage conversion

Hi, I have some work needed if you are interested My garage was converted to a office in 2007. I am moving house and at a late stage we discover the garage conversion does not meet building regs due to lack of a DPM and no thermal insulation in the outside walls. The building Inspectors tells me I need the following retrospective work done: The laminate and chipboard floor to be lifted and a Damp Proof Membrane must be laid under the joists. Currently the wooden joists sit directly on the concrete. After the membrane is laid then replace chipboard and skirtings, adjust door openings if needed, but no need to replace laminate. The single block external walls need to be insulated from the inside, therefore either Kingspan insulated plasterboard or an insulated timber frame. No need to redecorate. Extras: There is a wash basin which is no longer needed so remove and close pipes. There is an internal partition wall with small radiator either side and electrical sockets. The wall is no longer required so demolish and remove or position the radiator. Please only quote if you can complete this work in April. Thanks Location is EN6 4BG

External 2 tier steps

The wooden steps to back yard is rotten and needs replacing. This consist of 2 steps leading to the back door. The door opens outwards onto the step and you step down to a concrete floor. Each step is 170mm high and 1020mm wide. The top step forms a platform that is 1000mm deep. The second step to the concrete floor is 260mm wide. Kitchen repair and repainting

Kitchen skirting boards need replacing, one of the chipboard skeletons to the units has been damaged by the dishwasher and needs replacing with solid wood. Whole kitchen needs repainting. Job currently half done, previous contractor has abandoned the job.

Cut 2 sheets of MDF

Cut 2 sheets of MDF Sizes: Sheet A 1170mm (height) X 1370 mm (width) (MDF 3mm - depth) Sheet B 1090 (height) X 1370mm (width) (MDF 12mm - depth) The sheet B should have 60 spread circular wholes, measuring 5mm. each. The board will work as a bedhead and each whole will be filled with a fairy light.

Building fitted wardrobes

Wardrobes fitted in alcoves either side of chimney breast. Mdf painted white is fine but I want them to fit in with victorian theme of property.

Fixing new wooden base for my boiler.The current one is old

The current square wooden base which the boiler sits on in the boiler cupboard is not stable, as the wood has become water damaged. A new base is needed. The boiler will be removed and replaced on the same day as the base is fitted. So a morning slot will be needed for the carpentry as the existing boiler will be removed in the morning and the new boiler fitted after the base has been replaced

adapting built in cupboard, painting

I would like some doors instead of a panel put into the upper part of my built in cupboard. I also want some shelves put in to the upper part of the cupboard and the hanging rail replaced and put higher up, as well as a shelf built into the bottom of the cupboard. I would also like some painting done in the bedroom, kitchen and loungeroom. This requires some stripping of metal frames, wooden shelves and glass window which has been painted over
