The beam contains some old wet rot and might need treating or have a new section spliced in. Upstairs some plasterboard have come loose from the beams and need to be fixed.

I was contacted by sam regarding a standard plastering in a large bedroom. Only 3 walls required skimming. I was at work and so could not supervise the project. There are a number of really poor finishes around 3 sockets, thin skimming in areas where the plastic mesh is coming through. Called Sam who agreed to come round to resolve some of the issues, and as expected, he has not been in contact since. I would avoid spending money with this tradesman.

He did a fantastic job on plastering the walls, also cleaned up after himself. He is multi talented and is coming back to fix my leaking roof and put in a new fence for me. Due to a leak I need to have two ceilings and part of a wall replaced. The ceilings will be torn down prior to this being done. Plasterboard will need to be fixed on the ceiling. It will need to be plastered and painted white. The wall size is unknown but i have attached pictures, Work to be started week commencing 28th September 2020 or possibly a couple of days sooner. Any rubbish caused to be cleared.

I have had to remove my skirting boards in order to remove the old laminate flooring. In doing so, I have disturbed some of the the plaster on the angle beads. These will need to be thin skimmed again. The walls are all plasterboard, thin skim will need to be applied to 5 of the angle beads.

The cement which is surrounding the windows has cracked and fallen away in places, I need the surrounds of each window to be cleaned out of the cracked masonry and made good. Two windows will have to be accessed via a ladder but there is a flat roof in front of the other two.

The current plaster sounds pretty ropey and is probably being held up by wallpaper, so removal & disposal of any old plaster that needs to come down, replacement plasterboard where necessary, or patching up is possible, then all skimmed for a smooth plaster finish. The room is roughly 2m x 3m although I imagine any quoting parties will want to see the room and state of the current walls first.
