Cancelled work on the day without telling me until I called him to find out where he was. Understand emergency work on other building sites can pop up but I would expect a call to inform me instead of me having to chase up. Prompt reply to initial request to look at roof and came here on time but then quite hard to nail down a date for the work (Which he then didn't turn up to).

We have some plaster, peeling wall paper which is coming away from the walls as well as some uneven walls which we would like to repair and smooth out with plastering in 2 bedrooms, the lounge and kitchen/diner. The master bedroom we would like the wall paper removed and re-plastered in its entirety and measures about 16 x 12 ft. The guest bedroom needs some repairs to small cracks, blemishes in the walls and measures about 10 x 11 ft. The lounge measures about 18 x 12 ft and needs to be fully re-plastered including ceiling. The kitchen/ diner needs some repairs to small cracks and blemishes in the walls and measures about 20 x 10 ft.

Damien was friendly, efficient and flexible. He worked long hours to complete the job especially given that the scope of the work increased as we went along mainly on my request. He also uncovered a potential issue with the ceiling in our bedroom which needed immediate attention and was fixed. In the end the job morphed from 1 week to 3 weeks but all was done to a very high standard whilst keeping things as tidy as was possible. I would not hesitate to hire Damien again!

We would like the existing Artex (or similar) ceiling finish to be replaced with a smooth plaster finish. I don't know if this requires removing the existing finish, or if it can more simply be skim coated over the existing. There are a number of downstand beams within the space which would need to be plastered as part of the job. The area of the ceilings to be plastered is 46 sq m, consisting of 3 bedrooms and one living room. The property is a domestic flat with all rooms occupied, so I would need to know how much (if any) of the work could be undertaken without having to clear the rooms. I am able to provide a scale drawing to show the exact extent of the work required. A second phase of work will also be required at a later date, which will be to plaster the remaining rooms (ceilings and probably walls also) in the flat once they have been reconfigured.
