I am the Home owner. Students leave for summer ion the 4th July and we have 2 months to complete this project over summer before they return. I require individual quote for the following: 1. Remove existing bathroom suite and existing stud wall to a reduced the size of bathroom to create a shower room with toilet, sink and corner shower. (Bathroom units, shower unit and tiles will be provided. 2. Repaint white paint all rooms, gloss doors/door frames and ceiling (2 living rooms, kitchen, downstairs, hall way, stairwell, upstairs passage way, 2 double rooms, 1 single room) 3. Remove 5 chimney breasts and add appropriate steel supports, plaster over and paint white. 4. Architectural/structural calculation for chimney breast reveal and planning permission submission. 5. Replaster walls only for all rooms/areas mentioned in point 2. 7. Replace all doors and door frames. Kitchen door to be fire saftey, the rest of the doors upgraded to new style with locks on bedroom doors. 8. Rip out all old electrics and install new wiring within the wall and making good with plaster and paint. Each bedroom plus lounge to have 6 downlights and 8 downlights to the kitchen. Four double sockets in everyroom plus extra power outlets in the kitchen for appliances. Smoke detectors in every bedroom and hallways plus a heat detector in the kitchen. 9. Supply and lay artificial grass in rear garden.

The tradesman was a lovely guy and worked hard uplifting old tiles and laying laminate,however I was getting the hall ,livingroom and stairs done .The paintwork is atrocious, I spent 5 hours trying to remove paint from the new flooring .I also got a new bannister and handrail , neither were sanded before painting and basically I need the whole thing ripped out and redone. The finish of the flooring is terrible and there are quite a lot of scratches and rivets in it . 2 new doors damaged too !

This man refurbished my bathroom and plastered bedroom walls. His work was very untidy. He never used spacers for the tiles. He put large tiles on the walls as well as same on the floor. None of the tiles are straight. The floor ones have even started moving as he hasn’t put enough cement. When I pointed out to him, he blamed the tiles not his workmanship. I have used same tiles in my other home with a good tiler and no problems. Plaster was not smooth. Got paid but didn’t finish
