A builder inspection raised:
1) Evidence of penetrating damp on the rear external wall and gable wall of the rear
bedroom. There is also staining on the chimney breast. Investigate the external
brickwork, flashings and roof covering and carry out repairs to prevent the ingress of
water. Remove any damaged plaster and re-plaster, with a waterproofing additive and
skim finish.
2. Evidence of penetrating damp on the gable wall of the front bedroom. Investigate the
external brickwork, flashings and roof covering and carry out repairs to prevent the
ingress of water. Remove any damaged plaster and re-plaster, with a waterproofing
additive and skim finish.
3. Evidence of rising damp next to the front window in the living room, under the stairs.
I believe repointing needs to be done on the outside of the house to help with the inside issues
Although we did not proceed with the provided quote, it was an extremely reasonable price.
