I agreed for Fred to paint our hallway. He said it was two days work. He also told me he was experiencing financial difficulties, and wanted cash. He arrived two hours late for the job with a labourer. Between them they splshed paint all over my carpet and porch, which i cannot get out. They left after four hours, saying they'd return later in the week to finish the hall painting and get out the paint. Regrettably, I paid Fred. Since then I've been ignored by him when I call. I'd not recommend.
