Replace existing wooden fence post between two 6ft panels

Wooden fence post is broken/rotten? at bottom between two 6ft panels - possibly a concrete spur would work or replace post. The fence is adjoining neighbour's property and our responsibility so a.s.a.p.would be greatly appreciated.
