repair rotten patches in side of wooden garden shed

In the summer we decided to repaint the wooden garden shed. We discovered several holes which we covered over with pieces of wood. It is apparent that this was not watertight and now we have mould and damp inside. We are moving soon and would like to repair it before we go. Help !
