large extractor fan with a pull cord put directly above my bath

I am having a new bathroom fitted and I u have had a large extractor fan with a pull cord put directly above my bath in the middle with a pull cord . I am also having a shower fitted one end so where I be standing to have a shower the fan is directly above me . Luckily I am only 5 ft 1 so I can't reach it but anyone taller would be able to . Is this right ? It looks terrible

Some people have there extractor fan wired into the light switch , this keeps it easy for the extractor to be turned on and off and looks better and also gets you round the problem for short people or children

Hi the bathroom fan must be 12-volt as this is the regulation if the is not a 12-volt then you should not use it especially if it's directly above the bathtub
