Mixer tap shower temperature
Over the last few months my shower temperature has noticably dropped. Its a wall mounted device with a single controller knob, the further it turns the hotter it is.
I've gone from a 3/4 turn for a good temperature to 100% plus increasing the boiler set temperature.
Living in a hard water area i'm thinking that there has been some scale forming in the hot pipe. Is there a way to descale the internals without causing damage, i.e. pour in vinegar from the shower nozzle?
Likely the internal cartridge that regulates the temperature has limescale build up and this is causing your temperature to be irregular in the shower head
It's probably the thermostatic valve on the mixer
