strange noises from central heating/plumbing pipe work
Hello
I have a strange noise problem in central heating/plumbing pipes.
it is almost a thud type of noise and the noise occurs mainly late night and early morning when the heating may be off. However, it can happen when heating is on. I can send a clip of the noise if required.
We have bled all the radiators, balanced the valves, this has made no difference. The central heating system , including the boiler, were installed one year ago.
When you turn the central heating on, hot water passes through pipes and the heat causes them to expand and contract. As this happens, it's totally normal for your system to make some knocking, clanking or tapping sounds.
HI,
Its either the system needs bleeding from the radiators or its needs to have a filter installed and flushing the radiators out once a year with protective solution left in the system. Some plumbers dont flush the system after installation and it can cause all kinds of problems
