Outside tap stopcock

We have recently moved. We live in Yorkshire. E have a hot and cold outside tap just under the kitchen window. Im looking to turn the outside stopcock off to prevent the pipes from freezing over and potentially bursting. There are 2 stopcocks under the sink. One seems to control the outside cold tap, the other seems to control the outside hot tap. The hot one however also seems to be the water supply for the dishwasher. What should I do? I don't want the pipe to burst it is a pretty new fitting by the looks, the connector on the inside looks to be stainless steel braid then with mostly copper and plastic piping on the inside.

You can fit an isolation valve to the outside tap side and then turn it off that way then also keep the taps open outside

in the winter period of time in a heated room, all faucets with cold or hot water supply to external faucets must be closed! faucets located outside the building, it does not matter whether it is cold or hot, must be open - in this way, the entire volume of water in them will be removed , this prevents the destruction of faucets, because during freezing, the excess water is able to completely destroy the faucets and pipes that come from the faucets in the middle of the room during expansion, which precisely block the supply of water to the outside. it should be remembered in time.

I personally would just get some cheap 22mm lagging and insulate any outside pipes and the taps, turning off the stopcock won't necessarily stop the outside aspect of the pipework and taps from freezing

Your dish washer should be on a cold feed only as the machine heats the water independently.
