Cold feed to Triton “silent” shower unit gravity fed?

Does the cold feed to this unit have to be gravity fed if so what head is needed?

Answers

Assuming you are referring to the Triton electric shower unit, the cold water supply to the unit does not have to be gravity-fed. The unit can be supplied with water either from a gravity-fed system or a mains-pressure system.

If you are using a gravity-fed system, you will need to ensure that the head (vertical distance between the showerhead and the water storage tank) is sufficient to provide adequate water pressure for the shower unit to function properly. The exact head required will depend on the specific model of the Triton shower unit and the flow rate of your water system. As a general rule, a head of at least 1 metre (3 feet) is required for a gravity-fed system to work with most electric shower units.

However, if you are using a mains-pressure system, you will not need to worry about the head height as the pressure will be sufficient to operate the shower unit without any additional boost."
