Leaking flush pipe

I have a leak from the flush pipe on my concealed cistern. The plumber says I will have to replace the whole cistern!?? I would have thought that the pipe is pretty standard. Can you please advise......looks like a push-fitting.

Flush pipe kits & seals are sold separately. The cistern itself is not guilty in this case, it may just be one rubber seal that has perished.

Yes you would have to replace the whole cistern if it’s concealed

The cistern will likely not need replacing if it is the flush pipe the flush cone will just need renewing or possibly the flush pipe cas just worked its way loose from the cistern itself.

To be honest it will be cistern specific as to whether or not you will be able to replace the pipe. In my experience you can replace parts on the majority of products but definitely not all of them. Also, the accessibility of the concealed cistern will have an impact and whether or not you will have to remove part of the wall to carry out this task. Only way is to look it up yourself by checking the product details and the manufacturers parts
