I want bath removed and immersion heater removed.

Hi, I have a studio flat with a small bathroom that has a shower over the bath. The bath and sink gets hot water from the immersion heater (which is very old and gives low pressure). I want to refit the bathroom by removing the bath and making it into a shower room. Therefore I want to remove the immersion heater from the flat and put a smaller hot water heater under the kitchen sink so that it serves the kitchen and bathroom taps. The shower is electric. Can someone tell me how I would book tradesmen to do this and in what order? Obviously pipe work is going to have to be moved. Do bathroom fitters do this kind of work or would I need more than one trademan to do this? Thanks.

Book a plumber first to remove the immersion heater, install the small heater, and reroute pipework. Then hire a bathroom fitter to remove the bath and install the shower room. Electricians handle the electric shower.

First Step: You’ll need a qualified plumber to remove the immersion heater and install the new smaller hot water heater under the kitchen sink. The plumber will also be responsible for moving and altering pipework to accommodate the new setup for both the kitchen and bathroom taps. They can also connect the new system to your electric shower (though some electric showers may have a separate power supply, which may require an electrician's help).

Plumber (Remove immersion heater, adjust pipework)
Electrician (Install under-sink water heater)
Bathroom Fitter (Install shower, new basin, and toilet)
Tiler (if needed for walls/flooring)
If you find a bathroom fitter who does plumbing and tiling, they can likely handle steps 1, 3, and 4, reducing the number of trades you need.
