Where can I place a shaver socket in my bathroom?

Can someone provide guidelines about where (how far from taps etc..) I can fit a shaver socket in my bathroom.

Hi, the shaver sockets, if wall mounted can be placed up 300mm from the taps (to the side preferably) Shver lights with an integrated shaver socket are also available.
More importantly, is the protection on that circuit which is usually the lighting. It needs RCD protection to comply with current regs, regards John

Shaver sockets should be installed 300mm from the edge of the sink unit, or you can site the shaver socket in zone 2 which runs from the edge of the bath or shower cubicle to a distance of 600mm from the bath / shower cubicle up to the height of 2.25m.
