It is now called gas safe, easy way to check is to visit the gas safe web site and follow the link which says find a gas safe engineer.

nowadays the gas safe is the body in charge, so the gas engineer must be gas safe registered . you can ask for his registration number and the liscence number and then look in the gas safe website to verify he has the permission to carry any gas work and what category of gas ie domestic , commercial etc...

Go on gas safe google gas safe and enter check engineer the enter there name is that easy. There is no more corgi :-( hope this help.

Corgi registration has been replaced with Gas Safe. You should ask your installer for a Gas Safe number, they will also provide this on any paperwork and certification.

You cant. GAS WORK SHOULD BE DONE BY GAS SAFE REGISTERED ENGINEERS ONLY CORGI DO NOT DO THE GAS ANYMORE. GOOGLE GAS SAFE REGISTER AND SEE, always use this for gas engineers

He/she will show you his ID card with his name,registrations number and the job category he/she is allowed to work on. He/she ID can be verified by calling gas safe register or visiting gas safe registered website.

Corgi registration does not currently cover gas work. This was taken over by Gas Safe a few years ago. All Gas safe engineers are registered on the Gas Safe website
