Recommended mixer shower

A powerful mixer shower on a combi boiler will only be as good as the water pressure serving it.
Most mixer showers today are compatible with combi boilers or pressure systems.
But check before you purchase.
Depending on your budget Aqualisa, Mira, Hansgrohe are in my opinion the best available. They can be quite costly depending on the type and style you purchase.
Their are three different types of mixer shower body available.
The BIV or built in valve is a concealed unit built into the wall with just the control on show.
The surface mounted version which has the main body on show.
And the cartridge type which looks like a torpedo, with the controls on either side.
The most expensive to install, will be the BIV variant, because their is more preparation required to mount the body of the unit.
The next will be the cartridge type because they require the pipes to enter horizontally from the back of the unit.
And finally the surface mounted. These can be fitted with the water pipes entering from the back, like the cartridge, or from above or below the unit running up and down the wall.
If you have the surface mounted body, always use chrome coated copper pipe for the installation. It gives a better looking finish than plain copper.
One thing to consider also is the type of operation.
you can have a lever mixer shower, concentric mixer shower, sequential mixer shower, dual control mixer shower and the bar mixer or cartridge as i have referred to it previously.
Each of these mixers has a different method of delivering water flow and temperature through the unit.
I could start to get technical but i would be here all day!!

Is plenty of shower mixers on the market, but to proper working shower you need good water pressure or sometime pump is required.

most showers are designed for high pressure you have a combi and this provides high pressure so perfect. The power only comes from your incoming cold mains water and the KW output of the combi. A very good make of shower is Grohe, but there are many more that look the same and provide the same shower experience hope this helps feel free to contact us.

gohe are in my opinion one of the best, check the bar pressure on your boiler and match your mixer accordingly

What's the water pressure like in the bathroom.

I like to supply mira showers as they are high quality, reasonable in price, come with a good manufacture warranty and the after care is very good from Mira.

Grohe is a good quality one.

Mira are the best about. But the power of the shower will depend on you incoming water main pressure and how many litres per minute of hot water your combi will provide. Hope this is of help

Best brand on market are mira and triton, most of range comes with good warranty, upto 5 years. Also good spares back up, not like a no name.

The Combi-Boiler hot water production flow rate and incoming mains pressure will ultimately give you your final outlet flow to any shower mixer. Of the two choices of manufacturer i would plumb for the Aqualisa although Mira are just as good

a good make is grohe, and mira the powerful bit is not the shower bit but the boiler and water pressure IE a combi of 25 KW delivers around 10.5 Litres of hot water per minuite, a 42KW combi delivers around 17 Litres of water per/min but all this depends on the cold water pressure into house

I would personally got for a BAR MIXER SHOWER EXTERNAL the reason for this is because if there is any future problems you can just remove and replace where as if you was to have a consealed shower in the wall if any problems occurs you will have to remove tiles around shower and replace and re-tiles and can have the possibility in years to come not Being able to get the same tiles or get ones to match, this will leave you unhappy and want to start again.
