We have a 12V extractor fan installed over the shower in our wet room. The fan is operated by a separate pull switch on the far wall by the door. As we are in our eighties and a bit deaf we can not hear if the fan is running. Is it possible to have a pull switch with an indicator light for a 12V system? If so, who makes them?
Hi, you need to change the pull switch with Neon (with very small light) and any electrician can fix.
We have to put switch (isolated ) outside the shower room the transformer , when you swich a light on the extracter is on , the best is with a timer with seperete swich from outside
yes you can crabtree make a 16a double pole pull switch with neon indicator
You would need to look at manual or leaflet with Extractor to see what is required and if they do spares. If not call an electrician in
Yes it is possible few people make them best thing to do is go and purchase one from a local electrical wholesaler. Thanks heads up electrical
Answer is Yes.
There are pull switches with indicator lights available by most brands. "MK" might be a little more expensive at around £15.00 but other makes like "Click" retail for around £5.00.
The good news is yes, the supply will still be 230v and the transformer in the fan will take it to 12v. So a standard pull switch with neon indicator will work
Crabtree or Scolmore make versions.
Just search Amazon for ; 16 Amp Double Pole Pull Switch With Neon
Yes isolating pullcords can come with led indicators and any electrical wholesaler will have them
