gel particles in the hot water

I am getting yellow gel particles about the size of a grain of sand in my hot water. I have a 4 yo Grant Combi. I'm sure the heat exchanger has started to block up because of it as the tap pressure has dropped. I filtered the bath water through a sock last night and ended up with a double handful of the gel type granules. Any ideas what the cause is??

Hard water in your area. Go to a pool shop that does swimming pools in gardens and buy a PH level kit. Is your Ph over 200 then you need scale reducer. Some people fit scale reducer but for get to change them every 2 to 3 years
