Quote for plastering lounge

We have received a quote of £900 for re-plastering our lounge (average size). If you could tell me whether or not this is a reasonable price, it would be much appreciated.

I personally think this price may be little too much

Its sound little bit more . But saying that it all depends are the walls and ceiling have heavy artex because artex has to be scraped off before plastering some time 2 to 3 coat of plastering applied to get smooth finish or do the walls need lots of prep like bonding etc.

Yes that's very expensive £900 for 1 room, no one can charge that per room is roughly between £350-£600

So depending on where you are in the country depends on the average price.
The price you have been given seems a little on the high side if I'm being honest. I would be thinking more towards the £650-£700 area for an average size room.

Depending on what condition the ceiling and walls are in and the amount of protection to carpets and floor is required. And if there has been Electrican in and chasing needed to filled and weather or not walls are live and they might pva or a blue grit prime these can result in some jobs being a little bit more then others
