Change WC overflow?

Is it possible to change a WC cistern from a piped overflow (with an external through-the-wall spout) to an internal overflow (into-the-pan) by means of replacing the valve/siphon arrangement - or do I have to change the cistern itself (or even the entire WC)?

You can change the layout of your cistern . The kit you will get easy for an internal overflow , just be certain to get the right stopper for the hole where your old overflow drained through the wall .you can then cut away the pipe through the wall and fill it . Depending where it is positioned (some people) put a vent over it which gives more air into the room .

Hi there, it's possible to change the internal parts.
The moden cistern parts have a internal overflow, however fur the installer it is a difficult job because with most old toilets, bolts and screews are rusty and stuck.
Most installers will recommend a new toilet. But the internal parts replacement is a skilled job and requires a good installer.

Yes that’s possible you just need to replace the siphon inside to a push button siphon and they have a built in overflow on them. You will just need to plug the overflow off with a cap inside the cistern

All needed is to fit a Syphon flush with built in overflow and when levels reach to unsafe level water will disperge into WC bowl .then can remove old overflow and fill in any holes in wall

Most modern siphon incorporate an internal overflow which expels in to the pan so can be as simple as changing the siphon

Yes it is. You need an integral overflow syphon. They come in all styles i.e pushbutton, lever etc.
You will need to take the cistern off to remove the old syphon and fit the new one. If you order online, make sure the base diameter of the syphon (the threaded bit that goes in the cistern's hole) fits the cistern's hole.

No you can simply change the syphon to a Dudley turbo 88 syphon which has an internal overflow allowing the external overflow pipe to be removed completely.
