Second undercoat for previously stained door?

I have sanded down and applied 1 coat of undercoat paint, should I apply a second?

I always apply two coats of undercoat and then two coats top coat. Stoneman external painting

Probably yes. You should make sure that the previous finish is completely covered by the undercoat before you apply the top coat.
