Peeling paint in one room?

Had a painter and decorating company come to paint the whole house in November. We have noticed in last two weeks that the paint is starting to peel quite badly in a couple of places under the coving... no leaks, moisture or damp, house is only 7 years old. There was already a coat of magnolia beneath it that wasn't peeling at all before new colour put on. Any ideas what it could be?

The paint used was not compatible with the coating underneath, painter if in any doubt should have applied base coat before top one

Yes, easy! Before the house to be painted, they supposed to get a nice rubbing down so the fresh paint sticks better. Two coats of paint and that's it, job done!

Could be just the caulk this can happen if it was painted before it was fully dry as it shrinks slightly
