We're decorating my recently moved out teenagers bedroom to make it into a spare room. She had a million pictures attached to the wall with blue tac, and in removing them there are now lots of bits where the paint has come off with the blue tac. Will we need to do any prep to ensure these doesn't show once painted, or will a couple of coats cover them? Thanks!
I’ll start with a nice clean, check out the walls(for other cracks, or peeling paint), filler, rubbing down the excess of the filler and the entire wall and after I’ll put the first coat of paint.. if the repairs are just a few ( you might just touch up on the new filler and then apply a full coat). After first coat applied I’ll do again a little rubbing down for entire wall(gentile) and going straight with the final.
Hi there your best off lightly rubbing down the flakey areas with a 120 grit sand paper and then fill with a filler then rub down again go the filler is flush with the walls them do two coats of paint . That will give you the best results it's all in the prep . Hope this helps
I would give them a quick sand with sandpaper so it's nicely prepped before painting
Yes 2 coats should sort that out and won't to to noicable
