Depending on the condition of the door, it will vary on the amount of coats needed. An old door will beer painted with a brush first to fix small worn parts alongside filler then the second coat with a roller to create a smooth layer

Put a sheet down first to avoid splatter. Use a mini Sponge roler and tray with plenty of gloss evenly spread a layer on the door, only use a brush to go around hinges and handles, or remove them. Should take less than half hour a door.

I would use a roller and tip off with a brush, it's quicker and you can get more doors done.

I’d say a good quality brush for glossing doors however a gloss roller can be used with a light brushing after to loose any small bubbles

Depends
If you have a flat wooden door without glass then roller for ease and for even coverage.

However brush for doors with detailing or glass.

Painting a door with gloss paint using a roller is faster but using a quality brush it will make a better finish and it will as well keep the pattern off the door.

I would personally use both roller and brush depending on what type of door you have.

This depends on what your doors are made of and what sort of finish you would like. There is not much difference between using a brush and roller on a door. I use a brush because oil based undercoats should be worked into the wood to give the best protection and first layer, a roller doesn't quite achieve this. Going with the grains of the wood is easier with a brush.
A small 4 inch roller with a short pile sleeve is generally used for window sills or to get a flat finish, not so important on wood doors
