Turning off tap using screw under sink?

Hi there, im just wondering is it OK to turn the hot water kitchen tap off by the shut off screw/valve under the sink for a couple of days ?

It would be ok for a time but the valve will become faulty with over use and start leaking around the "screwdriver" part.

first you will check under the sink if valve have not red colour handle then yoy can use screw driver yhanks
