How long for loft conversion?

We are in the process of thinking about / gathering ideas for a potential loft conversion. Obviously I realise that there are a lot of factors that cause the length of time to vary, but on average how long does a loft conversion (2 bedrooms & 1 wetroom) take?

Depends on size of job and any special requirements. For a loft in a semi with good access and no ensuite etc about 3-4 weeks

Depending on many factors to time scale.
Skylight dormers with staircase and bedroom normally take 15 to 20 days.
Full dormer could take 6 to 8 weeks depending on internal finish wanted.
It could be one side of gable wall may need extending at the apex.

Hi, roughly 6-12 weeks. This is very vague and of course depends on things like specific project requirements, party wall agreements, building control, etc, etc

We can complete a standard loft conversion(2 bedrooms & 1 wetroom) in as quickly as 4 weeks and this may vary with the size and may complete in 6 weeks. We value the time of our clients and aim to minimise the disruption to family life this means most of the project materials and procurement are planned for in advance to minimise lead times.

Hello,

an average loft conversion will normally take 5-6 weeks however the size of the dormer and interior work can vary and see it go considerably over the time in question. To be exact we would have to come and measure the loft etc to give a accurate estimation.

Kind regards

Hey! Regarding your question check out the photos on my profile, Iv just completed a loft conversion. depending on the size it shouldn't take that long if your living in a average sided house. I done one in a stately home in cowbridge and that took 12 weeks, and there was no access to it before we started!

Once the attic is cleared you can start framing the frame of the roof in no time, then it's down the the insulation, boarding and skimming before adding the finishing touches like your wet room ect :)
