History:

I am a self taught painter/decorator with 43 years in the trade. I have decorated houses, flats, pubs, restaurants, offices, warehouses, hospitals inside and outside. I have hung most types of paper and used all types of paint. I am very honest and most reliable. Also clean and tidy. I am fully insured. References can be supplied. I learned to decorate from an old timer way back in 1972 up north in Newcastle (yes you've guessed it I'm a Geordie).
I can also cater for those who are Ozone friendly with paint made from natural oils. I base my prices on day rate. Also I never price a job until I've seen it then I can give you an Exact Price

Other:

Old timer took me under his wing and taught me for for 5 years.
Way back in 1972. And I've been decorating ever since.

Various decorating and refurbishment jobs (Painting & decorating)

“Tom has done a number of decorating and household refurbishment jobs for us over the last ten years. All have been completed to a high standard and meeting the timescales and prices quoted. The jobs have included both interior and exterior painting and decorating, tiling, and carpentry jobs such as laying floor and skirting boards and making an airing cupboard out of our water tank cupboard. We have no hesitation in recommending Tom's work and will certainly be asking him to do our next decorating job.”

Answers:

Hi,
i've never had a problem with johnstone's durable mat it's hard wearing scrubable and johnstone's decorating centre's will mix it to any colour you want including all farrow and ball colours.
Yes you can paint over artex. the best way to paint it is. if artex has never been painted before use a stiff sweeping and just brush the ceiling to get rid of the sharp edges first as they will only get in your paint when you start painting. then using a thick pile roller paint as normal.
