Answers:
I would suggest that the best option for a paint to use in a bathroom would be to use a paint dedicated for bathrooms as this helps to resist mildew. it also has a tougher finish, allowing for it to be wiped down with a non abrasive cleaner.
Plastering/ rendering services would provide pebble dash repair; however if i were asked i would suggest removing existing pebble dash and replacing with a more contemporary solution, such as waterproof render or cladding
I would suggest going for a combi boiler for economical purposes. most consumers would normally opt for a combi nowadays for that very reason.
I personally wouldn't say there are lots of rogue traders, however as in most industries you will find the odd trader who will not do their job as it should be done and therefore give others a bad reputation because of their actions but i haven't come across any, so would say that if there is, there'll be a minimal amount.
I would always suggest working your way down when painting as paint tend to splash and for that very reason i would always paint the ceiling, then the walls and finally the skirting boards.
