I did an apprenticeship starting in 1990 in tiling then in 2000 I started working for a company who installed wet rooms and bathrooms for disabled. They trained me in the installation side of the job rather than just tiling for them and I?ve done complete bathrooms and wet rooms ever since my work is second to none and to a very high standard

Yes you can tile over tiles
make sure they are using flexible adhesive and not the ready mixed bucket adhesive and that the rest of the bathroom was done with flexible adhesive
