Yes, electrical circuits can be added to a fuse box if certain conditions are met, e.g age of installation, spare ways available, total current demand will not exceed your main fuse rating e.tc. some installations will meet all of these conditions especially if your installation is inspected and tested periodically.
You will definitely need an electrician to investigate your cooker, as it can be anything from a faulty cooker switch to an under-rated circuit or a faulty cooker. i would suggest you get it checked immediately.
You possibly have a faulty shower switch which must be investigated. i will suggest not to try to switch it on until you've had it checked.
You have carried out all the correct and necessary steps to identify the problem. this proves you might have an issue with the kitchen wiring which can be checked and tested by an electrician. i will suggest you put all the rest of the circuits back on with the exception of the kitchen circuit for the time being until the problem is resolved.
Unfortunately, the light switch will be of no help, as sockets must never be fed off the light switch/ circuit. the cost of having a new socket depends on the number of sockets you require, and how far the existing healthy sockets or your consumer unit(if you have any spare way) is going to be from the new socket/s. giving more information based on this will help to determine a reasonable cost.
