About Us:

southern renovations and refurbishments
our work is property repair and maintenance.we also do structural work ,property extensions and alterations.
we are fully registered electricians,,in this area we undertake rewires/new distribution boards and moving/relocating boards.
fault tracing .we are registered electricians with Stroma/napit. and fully insured.

History:

having worked in the trades for some 35 years we know the job inside out ,along staff we have worked together for a long time,
so when we undertake work the customer knows he has skilled workers on the job. over the years we have gone from fitting tap
washers to complete renovations and refurbishment of all types of property bungalows/houses/shops/ offices.and pubs.
next time a customer want work done they will know our team can do what we say. and get it right.

Other:

most of us are time served .skills learnt and passed down in the trades,
our plumber gas fitter is fully gas safe registered. and worked with us for over 15 years.
our electricians are level three and fully registered with stroma certification. to comply with building regs
we are also insured through stroma certification.our kithen fitter is time served and one of the best for the job.

Sounds like they may have made the wrong connections . and did not test .before letting you use it. . call them back to check this .also ask to see the sign off ticket . if it was all signed off as completed and tested .then if you did have a fault be it within the fused board or the appliance it should have come to light.
Well . good question. i would need to see the fuse board. but would state , if the board is a (17th edition one)with two rcds. and some spare ways then it should not be a problem . if however the board is an older one with fuse wire or mcbs and no rcd protection . then yes it needs to be changed . for your own saftey
Well providing the work (if you do it yourself) meets our regulations . yes you can do the work. but you must inform your local council building control . they will arrange for inspections during the work and a sign off upon completion this could be expensive. why not get a quote from a registered electrician say a stroma member . they are good
Yep sounds like he is right. you at least need a 17 edition twin rcd board.
