History:

Est in 1994 we initially covered home improvements and gradually started building extensions and converting attics /garages/basements which lead into renovations and restoration work on large country houses, now we have all the experience and trades to cover virtually any project that is offered to us

Answers:

Colourseal silicone would do the job , and try coloured grout , as light grey will enhance the darker colour
Always paint in one direction and as the roller unloads the paint it leaves thinner patches that show , so when you reload the roller and start where you finished , lightly go back over the last bit painted to blend in the thinner coat of paint and when your finished there will be no lines
So long as the old putty is secure it should be fine
Wouldn't recommend as any imperfections will show up on your new paper ,ie bubbles and joints
