Hi I have been in this business for a long time (22 years). Over the years I have worked on a vast amount of jobs from simple ones to massive hospitals and hotels. I have now decided to use my knowledge and skills to start my own business help people achieve what they want out there property.

I have been doing my trade since I left school and have a nvq lvl 3 in painting and decorating. At the start of my career I was doing mostly site work on large jobs. Over time I have learned how to master my trade and over the years i have picked up other skills and friends in the trade that allows me to not just be competent and competitive in my own trade but others to. I have spent the last few years working in some of the most prestigious areas of london doing maintenance for Frank Knight on there properties and believe now is the time to share what I have learned with you and hopefully build a great successful company.

Answers:
Hi new plaster board does not need to be skimmed however the joints do at least need to be taped and filled. in most cases this will be a quicker more cost effective way than skimming. hope this helps.
Hi matt emulsion will paint kn top of silk but like in all cases where redecorating the existing silk walls will need sanded to key the wall for further applications of any paint.
Everyone's cost is different due to how people work. it would depend on the condition of the woodwork and how much prep was needed but just to help you with a rough guilde i would say between 500 to 1300 now i know this is not to accurate but this is due to not knowing the condition of the wood.
