"I employed Matthew to do a fence for me. As I am a landlord who lives outside London, I had to rely on him to do a good job. The job was done as agreed, in time and to my satisfaction. He continuously kept me informed of the progress and sent me photos and even videos on What's App. There were some additional jobs inside the house. Matthew found me people to do that job as well. He undertook to supervise the additional work free of charge. Never employed anyone who worked with such an interest. "

"Mathew & Sons were hired for repointing work, clean gutters and drainpipes and to fit chimney caps. They came with wrong size chimney caps then tried to persuade me not to bother capping them. It has since come to my attention that the repointing work is still NOT finished. Further, I now see that the drainpipe is still slightly leaking which he says he threw in a clip (costing a mere £2-£4) to fix the problem as it was bowing and not properly aligned. On contacting him his response was, we didn’t quote you for all that work, and all he says he is prepared to refund is £40 out of the money paid. He also keeps asking me to remove the review left as its ruining his reputation and to date I have not received the £40. "
