I would always fit a base board as well it strengthens the area on which the shower tray cover and gives you a better fixing
This is particularly correct , but if you installed this and run a permanent positive to the clock this would prevent this ,
however a time clock would nt handle the switching of 3 kw , so there fore you’d need to install a single phrase control to handle the load need ,
how ever i would not subject the way of switching your e7 as this is set up by your electric supplier
to give you optimum power to give you the correct heating for the size of your hot water cylinder
and would therefore decrease your amount of hot water in the cylinder ,
so really would nt advise this
I would surgest to fit and a inline water trap inline on your waiste further away from you p trap and see if this improves the situation
I would replace the inlet/ float valve in take and if this doesn’t quer the promblem may looking at fitting a abv before the intake (commonly known as as a auto bottle valve ,
this would extract any air in your cold water feed / supplie
