Increasing plaster board recess of 42 inch tv upto 50 inch

Our 42 inch tv sat in a recess in new build house plaster board. It has a stud wall backing in place for the bracket and all wires in place. Old tv is broken so bought larger version to replace and need dimensions all round increasing to accommodate larger model & say 10 cm all round (that's what operation manual suggests anyway)
