Hi my boiler blown a fuse earlier today (the 2A in the boiler) I replaced it for new, I tried fitting a new digital thermostat and this happened, so I put everything back to the way it was (old thermostat back on, replaced fuses and put the trip switch back on). My boiler will still not come back on, there's power going in to the boiler and there's power back to the thermostat but the digital temp and lights are still not coming on? Could anyone help do you think it could be the selector switch at fault or circuit board problem?or is there something else I can try before calling an engineer? Thanks in advance
Regards to messing with any boiler it is best a registered GAS SAFE engineer is called.
Looks like p.c.b in boiler has blown.
This Can be rectified by Calling a Gas Safe registered boiler Engineer. It is illegal to carry out any works on a Gas appliance.
You might of blown the pub board. Needs to be checked. If you wired to the 12v point the you need a new pcb board.
It's possible that the thermostat was wired in incorrectly and has blown pcb, this would need further investigation to confirm this.
You possibly blew pcb (printed circuit board) by wiring programmer wrong or boiler internal fuse .
Or blown relays in programmer
Yes you wire up the thermostat timer to the wrong part of the boiler and blow the fuses test the fuse there is normally 2 of them if not the board is f---k so new board for you kid
I think you have blown something else and unless you fully understand how the Electrics work in a boiler I really would suggest you get a Gas Safe Engineer out
