Staircase alteration

Hi , my staircase is currently straight to the landing above, however I would like to change them in such a way that you make a quarter turn to the right and acces the landing that way instead, is there an easy way to do this? I thought about getting another step perpendicular to the others and put it on top of the existing steps, but that would leave my staircase narrower at the top two/three steps and leave a two step drop at the end of the new step. Is this possible? Thanks

Given there is sufficient space you could shorten the staircase, fit a small landing, turning stairs to the right.

From what I understand I don't think you will get the desired finish without removing the original staircase and replacing it with a new one designed to suit. But I can't be 100% certain without actually seeing the job in the flesh sorry

I wouldn't say easy way. You'd have to cut the stringer back and install a newel post which would have to be supported either via the stair trimmer or run to the flooor and then wind the new treads on the opposite stringer to the new newel post. Also bear in mind 2m head room is a must

This would need to be carried out by a professional, calculations would be required to make sure all the treads and risers were fitted correctly and safe.
