Looking for some advice regarding how long to leave for a complete bathroom refit including some tiling and minor plumbing changes. Is a 3 days reasonable?
No, some time need 4 days for bathroom refit
I would allow 10 - 14 days.
Dipends on waht has to be done.pipe change, waste change about a day for a bath only.
2-3 weeks depending on work required
Depends on what you want doing, how long is a piece of string, get a quote and see
5 to 8 days depending on what needs doing tiling etc
I would strongly suggest the time set a side for a complete bathroom refurbishment, depending on the size of bathroom. No less then two weeks.
You have to understand this is a room that will be used every day for water. It is so important that this area be left to dry out fully during refubishment. I.e tilling walls and floor.
For a complete bathroom refit you will need 5 days to bee sure all is going fine.
I would agree with the time frame you have put in your question for a bathroom refit depending on the size of the tiled area. Craig CLW plumbing. Pontefract
Depends on the spec, type of fittings and size of tiles, amount of pipe work that needs changing, but remember you need to let the sealant dry before you use it. I would say 3 days basic 5 days major.
A complete refit 1 - 2 weeks , but to change say a new bathroom suite takes a day , so if as you say minor changes 3 days sounds about right
the tiling is the thing that takes time if the some tiling is a bath slashback to ceiling the yes 3 days is plenty
A complete bathroom refit to me includes removing everything, bathroom suite, fixtures and fittings, floor and wall tiles - if they are present.
This will require more than 3 days. On average, most bathroom refits should take from 1 to 3 weeks, but even longer depending on the work required and the design of the re fit.
Problem that can be encountered which will add time to the install could be, rotten floorboards that need replacing. leak damage to the walls, which need to have the plaster chopped off and re rendered then skimmed, this can add quite a lot of days to an install, because if the room is to be tiled floor to ceiling, then the new render needs at least two weeks to be fully dry before it can be sealed and tiled!
The worst case would be to have lathe and plaster walls, typically found in older houses. As i have found on my experience, these walls begin to crumble over the years.making them unstable to mount fixtures on or to tile over.
With some of the modern large heavy tiles, lathe and plaster is not a suitable base to be fixing tiles to. I always remove this and start fresh with 12.5mm plasterboard.
3 days could be ok if it is a full bathroom re fit it could be between 5 /7 days
Hi,it depends on how much tiling is required and what alterations are needed to be made. I personally allow 5 to 10 days depending on size for a complete refit and fully tiled.
For a complete bathroom refurbishment you need at least 5 working days.
three days should be plenty of time, as long as all materials and equipment are on site, for a bathroom of average size.
Would be down to if tile need removing, is floor being tiled. If complete job we allow 3-4 days
we say a 3 to 5 days depending on how much tilling needs to be done etc but its hard to say with out seeing the job
Experience has taught me that you should always allow a week (5 days)to completely refurb an average bathroom properly. This will allow for any issues that may come up and also means the work will not be rushed an you will have a quality finish.
If the work is completed early you won't be disappointed but if there are any issues it shouldn't over run.
I would say that depending on weather the pipe work in the bathroom as got to be re directed and want as got to be fitted. Including how much tiling there is to be done i would say around a weeks work to complete this job
3 days usual time scale depending on tiler
allow 1 day for 3-pce suite change and 1 day for minor tiling/plumbing alterations
No I think at least one week
Just a straight swap like for like without tiling 1.5 to 2 days.
For a full refurbishment 7 to 10 days depending on layout.
Hello , yes it takes 3 or 4 days
if there is a comprehensive renovation of three days it is a realistic time for a complete renovation of a five-six days. Regards
I would suggest from removal to complete installation at least 7 days for an average bathroom.
I would always allow between 3-5 days for a little bathroom 9am - 5pm and for a medium to large allowing 1-2 weeks again 9am -5pm full days you will find if they rush the tiling will be not as good as you would find taking time, tiling in a bathroom fully should be done in around 2-4days including bits of grouting for fixtures.
