the valve might be faulty
the pressure to high for the valve
if the water pressure is to high for the shower valve you could fit a inline reduction pressure valve to water inlet on the shower line only not to the whole system

The correct answer is to replace it by a qualified lectrician
It could be a switch it needs to be tested by a qualified electrician
Did this person give you a contract to sign stating what he was going to do and how long it the job was going to take and if a part has been broken this person needs to replaced it his own time and at this person cost
