Hi there I'm a plasterer/bricklayer with years of experience mainly domestic work and site work.
I provide a honest reliable service turn up when arranged and treat my customers homes with respect while carrying work in their homes,I'm insured for peace of mind as well.

I've been a bricklayer/plasterer since I was 18 I’ve been doing this job for 23 years worked self employed and on the books for building companies I have pictures of my work and references of my work from customers I am happy to show these upon request and everything I have is my own work .

Other:

Nvq2 in bricklaying I did a full apprenticeship covering site work, houses,schools,hotels,knock throughs,extensions,garden walls,window cut outs and repair work
Plastering I was taught by plasterers on site when there was bad weather and have worked for companies as a full time plasterer with many years experience.

Answers:

No you wouldn’t be able to skim over it not if it’s wood chip. never seen wood chips in paint it sounds more like an artex if it is don’t touch it or scrape as some artex contains asbestos i’d recommend over boarding the ceiling with plaster board and then skimming it.

No this isn’t common practice to put expanding foam in the brickwork joints if that’s what you mean they should be pointed back in so it’s all solid and sound . if it’s around the patio door frame then yes expanding foam is used to fill in the gap around it before it gets sealed with a sealant
